One of the worst days in a looooong time.
What the hell is wrong with people?! Seriously. Argh!! Sometimes I just want to move to an island and live all by myself. And no husband either.

And that’s all I’m gonna say about it.

Why is it that I forget all the cutesy things Kapitonas says. He comes up with funny things daily, but of course at that time I’m not at the computer or not even at home. So by the time I sit down at the computer, I forgot all about it.
Do you guys just have a pen and paper ready all the time and write down as soon as they say something cute/funny? Or you’re just good at remembering things?
My memory is not very good. Especially lately. Seriously, I forget things all the time.

On another note, Princess has not being eating lately. And I mean not eating anything. Not even french fries. Who doesn’t eat french fries?! Hot and fresh ones from McDonald’s! Usually she is a pretty good eater. A lot better then Kapitonas was at this age. But this week, she barely had any solid food in her mouth.
She still doesn’t have her 2 year molars, so I thought well, maybe she’s getting them. But I checked and there is nothing. No bumps, no swellings, nothing.
She doesn’t even drink my home made Jamba Juice. She used to drink some. Kapitonas will have like 2-3 cups of it! She won’t even have a 1/4 of it. She used to drink about half a cup before, at least!
Hmm, I dunno, she feels fine and is active and all, just not eating.

Well, last night kids bedtime went very well. We did the bedtime routine, put Princess in her bed with a cup of milk and she was out shortly. Put Kapitonas in his bed, kissed him goodnight, told him that when he wakes up in the morning, he can come to my bed. And he went right to sleep. We were shocked! After w hile of not hearing anything, hubby went upstairs to check up and they were both out. That means Kapitonas didn’t come down not even once.
Now today was another story. Nap time was just horrible. After coming downstair numerous times, having to go potty several times in about 15 minutes, he only ended up sleeping maybe a half an hour. Maybe. I think it was more like 20 min. And the reason he fell asleep is because I went in and laid down with him. Princess has already slept for about an hour when he fell asleep. I really had no choice, but to lay down with him. If he wasn’t going to take a nap, he was just going to be a little terror the rest of the day.
He is still going to his swim classes every evening so I could not let him skip a nap. Not since we were home, anyway.
Kapitonas’ swimming is going very well!! He can now jump in to the pool, go under water, hold on to the board and lay on top of the water and kick his feet, and yesterday he learned how to float on his back. His teacher told me that she let him go and he was just floating there. He thought she was still holding him, but she wasn’t. How cool is that?!
Tomorrow is his last lesson for this round. Next Monday, June 30th, another round will start up again for 9 classes and we are considering it. We just have to decide on the time we want to do it. I also really like his swim teacher, so I’ll have to ask and see if we could get her again for the next round.

One semi successful night. Last night Kapitonas went to bed pretty good. I kissed him goodnight and left the room, while hubby finished getting him ready for bed. He left after putting Kapitonas to bed. Few minutes after we heard him coming downstairs, so hubby walked him back up, put him down and that was it!! He fell asleep! Slept all night. Around 7 am came to my bed and fell asleep again. Then I heard Princess talking in the other room around 7:30. 7:30 is better then 7!!
Princess sleeps very well. (I hope I don’t jings it) I guess she is ready to be sharing a room with her brother. We just have to work a little bit more on brothers sleep habits.
Part of me does mis Princess in our room, but at the same time I am glad to have my room back. It’s almost been 4 years since I had to share my room with someone (excluding my hubby of course!).

Update on the sleeping arrangements.
Oh boy!! Both of the kids were asleep in one room when hubby and I went to bed. I wake up later at night because I felt someone, it was Kapitonas. Sleeping in the middle in our bed. I checked the time, it was 2 am. I don’t even know when he came in, didn’t even feel him crawl in the bed. So all 3 of up slept the rest of the night. Thank God for the Cal. King beds!!!
Also, they both woke up this morning at 7 am. What’s up with that?! Last week they were sleeping in till around 8 am. Well Kapitonas was waking up a little earlier, but Princess was sleeping in. 7 am it is too early for me! My brain doesn’t start functioning until 9. And then I still have to have a cup of coffee or two, and only then I’m ready to start my day. Agh, gotta love the kids!!

Someone posted this poem on one of my boards that I visit daily and I thought I would share it with everyone. It did bring a few tears to my eyes. Ok, it was more then a few. Enjoy!
You were six months old and full of fun,
With a blink of my eye, you were suddenly one.
There were so many things we were going to do,
But I turned my head and you turned two.
At two you were very dependent on me,
But independence took over when you turned three.
Your third birthday, another year I tried to ignore,
But when I lit the candles, there weren’t three but four.
Four was the year that you really strived,
Why, look at you now, you’re already five.
Now you are ready for books and for rules.
This is the year that you go to school.
The big day came, you were anxious to go,
We walked to the bus, going oh, so slow.
As you climbed aboard and waved good-bye,
I felt a lump in my throat and tears stung my eyes.
Time goes so fast,
It’s hard to believe that just yesterday you were home with me.
And tomorrow when the bus brings you home and you jump to the ground,
You’ll be wearing your cap and graduation gown.
So I’m holding to these moments as hard as I can,
Because the next time I look, I’ll be seeing a man…

We did it! Today we moved Princess to the Kapitonas room. With her bed and all (or should I say a pack-n-play. Long story about it that I will save it for another post).
A while ago we decided to get Kapitonas a low loft bed. We knew that we were going to move the kids together in one room for while, and loft bed was our best option. Temporarily Kapitonas can sleep on the bottom. Most of the loft beds that I’ve seen don’t come with mattresses on the bottom, but we would get one, because that’s where the Princess would be sleeping. So while the kids get used to the idea of having a new cool bed in their room, we’d have Kapitonas sleep on the bottom, unless he really insists on sleeping on top, and have Princess sleep in her play-pen. If Kapitonas decides to sleep on top, then we’ll put Princess on the bottom and see how it goes.
Anyway, we moved her play-pen before their naps. I was kind of nervous thinking that she might not sleep and that Kapitonas would wake her up. His naps are shorten then hers and sometimes when he wakes up, he’ll just start crying and/or calling for me while still in his bed. So we tried it today for a nap and it went very well! Princess fell asleep right away and when Kapitonas woke up, he just came downstairs. Quietly! When he came down he told me that he was very quiet with the door, because Princess is sleeping in his room. Awwwww, how sweet!
Now they’re both asleep, for the night I hope. But it was a little battle with Kapitonas. Princess went down very easily! The night is not over yet, but so far so good with her.
Kapitonas wanted me to lay down with him. You know, like I do every single night. We told him that now he’ll be sleeping with Princess in the room and that he is a big boy and doesn’t need Mommy to sleep with him. So after i tucked him in and left the room he started crying. Quietly. Because I told him that he can’t cry because Princess is sleeping there and he better not wake her up. After few minutes he left the room and came downstairs.
“I want to sleep with Mama” he said.
No. You have Princess in your room and you’re sleeping together. Another reason I won’t sleep with him is because he keeps peeing his pants. Not fully peeing, but just getting them wet enough because he is so lazy to go to the bathroom. (he’s been potty trained for over a year now, so there is no reason he should be peeing his pants). So I told him yesterday, that if he wets his pants today, that I won’t lay down with him. And guess what?! He peed his pants today. Not once, but twice. And I know that some of you might think that it’s a harsh punishment, or that he’s just having accidents. Those are NOT accidents. That’s just being lazy while watching TV, or playing with cars and not going to the bathroom. Like I said, he doesn’t full on pee, just lets a little out, just enough to wet his underwear and a little bit of his shorts. As for the punishment, well, that’s our last resort. We’ve tried everything. Oh and this peeing doesn’t happen ALL the time. He can go on for a week and stay dry and then for a few days he’ll get wet. Or he’d get wet for 3 days and then one day he’s dry. He really knows what he is doing! Also, with this “punishment” maybe we’ll kill two birds with one stone. Maybe he’ll stop peeing and maybe he won’t need me to go to sleep. I am literally his “security blanket”.
I have to tell you that I do LIKE sleeping with him. We’ll cuddle and we’ll tell each other I Love You, we’ll look into each other faces and smile, etc. But he is almost 4, and it is time for him to start falling asleep and sleeping on his own.
I can still tell him that I love him, I can still look at him while I’m tucking him in and smile, I can still cuddle with him before falling asleep, I can still do all those things without me having to sleep with him.
Well it’s been a little over an hour now and no one is coming down and I don’t hear anyone crying. Wish us luck tonight and hopefully tomorrow will be easier.

Swimming lessons are going really well. Kapitonas is able to jump in in the water, go under the water, and try swimming holding onto to a board that they have there. The instructor is always right next to him, and while he is holding onto the board and kicking kis feet with his butt up in the air, her arm is always under him. He really enjoys it and looks forward to going everyday. As soon as he wakes up from his nap, he starts asking about it.
And Ava is doing a lot better there too. The first time we went, she started taking her clothes off as soon as she saw her brother do that and wanted to run after him. We didn’t let her and tried to explain it to her, but of course, she started crying and throwing a fit because she wanted to go in to the pool. So Daddy had to take her out to the playground right outside the pool.
The next day she did a little better, but still wanted to go in. But that time I came prepared, with snacks and all! And the last two days was no problem. I of course had to have some snacks in my purse. After that she would just sit there and watch the kids swim and jump off of a trampoline.
There are 5 more classes left and seeing how much Kapitonas is liking it, we’re considering signing him up for the next round.

This what happens when you forget that you’re boiling some eggs:
This was going to be our breakfast. But it was early in the morning, before my coffee. So I put them on the stove, with full of water, poured a cup of coffee and sat down at the computer to see whats happening in the world. Yeah, about half an hour later, maybe even later, I walk into the kitchen and heard the eggs popping. The pot washed out very well, thank goodness!
I did enjoyed my coffee though!
