It could’ve been worse

Today when I was in the shower Viktor was watching the kids. Or wait, let me say this a little bit differently: “He was SUPPOSED to be watching kids”. I get out of the shower, drying off, getting dressed and I hear Viktor say “Lukas, what are you doing? OH SHIT!!!!!!!”. Repeating a few more times “o shit! o shit! o shit!”. I ask him whats going on and what did Lukas do, and he tells me: “oh nothing, just stay upstairs!”. Um, yeah, you never tell that a woman. Of course I run downstairs and almost get a heart attack. My couches! Oh NO!!! My couches are covered in dirt! I mean not just a little dirt, or a few pieces of dirt, a WHOLE BUNCH of dirt! On both of them! Thank God that on one of them I had a blanket on, but the other one!

Viktor wasn’t even paying attention to what Lukas was doing. He was taking the dirt out from one of my trees that I have in the room and putting it on the couches, then brought a few of his cars and was playing there. And I was only gone for about 15 minutes.

This was bad, but I guess it could’ve been worse. He could’ve spilled a cup of some red juice, or tried drawing on it, or who knows what.

Before today, he never even touched the tree, never even went close to it. So I never thought that he would get into it. I guess I was wrong. Now it makes me think what else could he get into that never touched before? Or maybe this is a sign that we should get him a sand table.
