This what happens when you forget that you’re boiling some eggs:
This was going to be our breakfast. But it was early in the morning, before my coffee. So I put them on the stove, with full of water, poured a cup of coffee and sat down at the computer to see whats happening in the world. Yeah, about half an hour later, maybe even later, I walk into the kitchen and heard the eggs popping. The pot washed out very well, thank goodness!
I did enjoyed my coffee though!
Swimming
We signed Kapitonas up for swimming lesons through our rec & park district. It’s just the beginning course, where they just get the child used to the water, teach them to float on front and back, and to put their faces in the water.
I was a little afraid that Kapitonas would not go in, or be afraid without his floaties and us by his side. When we go into our pool, he always has his floaties on and we are always next to him. If we try to take him further in the pool, he wraps his hands around us and won’t let go. We were in the pool yesterday and I was trying to let him go a little, and he would just scream. No, I did not fully let go of him.
Anyway, today it was his first class and he did very well! I was and still am so proud of my little boy! He went in the water as soon as the instructor called his name. He was holding on to the rail in the water. She also had him jumping in the pool, into her arms. They were even putting their heads under the water. He did it all! Wow! I was shocked!
There were 3 kids per instructor – Kapitonas, another boy and a girl. And let me tell you, it is a small world! A little background. About 3.5 years ago I was in this mommy group. There was some drama going on and long story short I left the group with other 2 moms. Well two of the moms from the drama group were there today with their little ones for swim lessons. Now let me tell you, they have this class at 8 different times per day. Eight different times per day. How in the world did we all ended up in the same class? The time we picked is not even a “popular” time. Morning are more popular then the early evenings.
Remember I mentioned that there are 3 kids per instructor and that there was another boy and girl with Kapitonas. Well that boy was one of those moms son. And honestly, I don’t really have anything against her and she does seem like a nice lady, but because of the drama and me leaving the group, we lost touch.
Now the other mom that was there, oh boy, I better not say anything bad, because you never know who is reading right? But I’m glad I’m not friends with her!
There was another mom that I knew with her two kids. And I was there with a friend, we signed up our kids together.
Over all, it was fun! I’m looking forward to tomorrows class, and I will be taking some pictures tomorrow.
