Today we went shopping for some gifts for Kapitonas’ birthday. We already knew what we’re looking for and what we’re getting, so it was pretty easy. But I think this year was the last year that we could go all together with kids, pick the stuff up and put it in the bottom of the car (they were in the cart, the big area) without kids seeing it. We had a few things in there and they had no idea. I think it helped that the whole time we were in the toys section, but still.
Kapitonas will be turning 4 on Monday. His birthday party is on Saturday.
So when we were done shopping, we took the kids out and let them run for a while while I went and payed for everything. I’m sure they would’ve seen it all at the register as they both love to help out. By helping out they put all the stuff on the register.
Anyway, I thought it was kind of funny! Who says you can’t take kids shopping for their gifts?!
Even though we knew what we were getting him, we still asked him what he wanted. And all the times he would tell us CARS!! Just any type of cars. The kid is obssesed with cars. We probably have at least a 100 of Hotwheels/Matchbox cars. And in my book, that’s more than enough.
And every time he gets a new Hotwheel, the kid is in heaven. I mean literally. Like today, we received a box from his grandma and there was a set of 5 Matchbox cars. When he unwrapped it and saw that it was cars, OMG, I’m not kidding you, he WAS in 7th Heaven. I think it was the first time that I saw a smile like that. LOL (excuse the messy background)
