It was the best surprise ever!!! I’ve never been surprised like that before and it was the best feeling.

Got to run now, but will tell you about it later. ;) All I’m going to say is that I love my hubby!!!

So my mother-in-law got these cool Cars (from the movie Cars) band-aid for the kids. One day Princess fell down and got a little scratch on the leg, so we put a band-aid on. Kapitonas had a scratch from before, so he also got a band-aid. They loved them!

Well, couple days ago, Princess was upset for some reason (don’t remember) and she bit herself in the arm. WTH! She’s never done that before. And apparently it really hurt, she really started crying and asking for a band-aid. So we put one on and everything was good.

A few minutes later, Kapitonas comes up to me asking for a band-aid because he has bitten himself. And there were like 4-5 bite marks. He did not cry, but you could definitely see the teeth marks. Lots of them! At first I thought that Princess bit him, but he said he did it himself, because he wanted a band-aid. LOL So he got a band-aid.

Silly kids!!

The problem was when we needed to take them off. You see, they were right on their arms, where the little hair is. Oh goodness, it was not fun! At first I tried carefully and slowly to remove it, but it wasn’t working. Then we had to do it fast. And that worked very well! I took the arm in my hand, started playing with it, shaking, moving around really fast and then just pulled the band-aid off. Then they looked at the arm and the band-aid was gone. They didn’t even cry, where when pulling it slowly, they were about to.

We’ve been having some visitors for the last three days. They come straight into the backyard! And when we open the door, they run away.  :)

These came over two days ago (it is not the best picture, but you can tell what it is).

Three of them came over, mommy and two babies. Those are two babies. Mommy already ran into a forest, and the babies ran off right after the picture.

And this one came over yesterday. All by herself.

There was another one today, but I was upstairs, and I thought by the time I run downstairs and grab a camera, it might be too late. So I didn’t get a picture. But it came into the backyard, then through the side of the house went into the front, went we went outside to get in the car (we were going out for lunch) it ran across the driveway into the forest.

I i know about you, but I think it’s pretty cool!

The kids get really excited when they see a Bambi in the yard. LOL! Then Kapitonas asks if it is Santa’s rain deer. lol

Well since I talked about my daughter talking, I might say that Kapitonas yesterday counted to 10 all on his own. Yay!

I know to some of you it might not be a big thing or anything, but to me it is! He just turned four and the fact that he hasn’t been going to any kind of preschool/day care, I think it’s pretty good!

I was kind of worrying about it, since I know some of the kids at this age already new their numbers. Some might be even counting to 20 or more. So I was kind of worried since Kapitonas could care less about all the letters/numbers. (he already knows his letters, and has for a while). And now I’m so happy that he knows his numbers too.

Princess has really started talking in the last few weeks. Everyday she is saying a ton of new words. It’s so cute!

The only thing I haven’t heard her say was her name and her brothers. Now it may be a while before she says his name. Even he can’t say his name correctly yet. But yesterday we were sitting and watching some old pictures. Pictures from last years vacation. As soon as she saw herself in one of the pictures, she sreamed “AVA!”. (I know I haven’t been using her name much on the website, but well today, it’s an exception). She said it so clearly too. And then she said it again and again every time she saw herself in the pictures.

The sad part about it is that hubby is not here and didn’t hear it. But when we see him in a few weeks, I’m sure she’ll be saying it even more.

Yes, I am afraid of lizzards :P

I had started this a while ago, but apparently never got to finishing it. So….

I put the kids one day for a nap and went out to get mail. I come back and was about to take my flip flops off when I saw this huge lizard sitting in my other pair of flip flops. Right next to the door. If you know me, you know that I’m afraid of all the crawly things, lizards including.

I slowly backed away and stood there, watching it. I was just hoping and praying that none of the kids wake up and walk outside. God, I don’t know what I would’ve done if the door would open up and the lizzard ran inside. I would probably stay outside and wait for hubby to get home and catch the little creature. Then I would probably have to wash everything.

I stood there for about 10 minutes until he decided to move. It went slowly right by the front door and under the chair. Lizard was still too close to the door, so I waited longer. Then it moved under some toy trucks. By then I did have enough room to walk inside, but then I was thinking about the toy and what if Kapitonas was to go outside and take that truck and there it would be. So I waited a little longer and it slowly made it’s way out of my patio. Ahhh, what a relief!!

I know they’re not harmful and really wouldn’t do anything to me, but it’s just the way they look. Yucky!!

We went to Fred Meyer the other day and I noticed that they have a child care. For those of you that don’t know that store, it is like a super store of everything. There are groceries (like a regular grocery store), home goods stuff, toys, clothes, shoes, books, gardening, you can find there everything you’re looking for. Well, pretty much everything or very close to what you’re looking for.

So while you do your shopping whether it’s food or toys, you can drop your child in a child care and go have fun in the store!

So we went there today to get a few things and we dropped the kids off. There is a sign-in and sign-out sheet. The parent and child/children get the same number bracelets. You can leave your kid/s there for up to one hour. While it’s not that much time, it’s definately enough to get some groceries without a kid screaming in your cart. It’s a closed in area with ton of toys, books, a TV.

I know some people are against the TV. I’m ok with it. It’s not like you’d be leaving your child there for the whole day, only one hour. And who says the s/he will be watching TV while you’re shopping.

So today when we went we left the kids there. And you know what? We did our shopping a lot faster then with them. Because you know, they want to look at everything and anything. Ahhh, it was nice, even if it only was 20-25 minutes.

I think that more places should have this, especially grocery stores. Because you know, sometimes you don’t have anyone to watch them, but yet you still need food!

Now that I’ve talked about how rude drivers are in WA I should say that there are really really nice people out here too.

Like where my MIL (mother-in-law) and BIL (brother-in-law) live. We went for a walk the other day and all the people that were driving by, they all waved. Every. Single. One. We saw about 6-7 cars pass us. It doesn’t mean that they don’t know me or that I don’t know them, they still waved. How cool and nice is that! I wish people were like that everywhere!

I mean, I don’t expect you to wave on a freeway, highway, or a street that gets lots of traffic. But small streets, like in the neighborhoods, wouldn’t that be nice?! I think so!

If you thought California drivers are bad, then you should go to Washington.

Last time we were here was in July 2005. Two cars almost hit me! And no, I didn’t do anything wrong, I wasn’t even going fast or anything.

Now this time I wasn’t close to being hit or anything (knock on wood here), but people are just driving CRAZY!!! They cut on front of you like no other. I mean literally. If you have very little room in front of you and you’re driving, expect someone to squeeze their not so little car in there. They will force it in! I mean come on people, there is only like 10 feet between me and the car in front. They just don’t care. And if you are a good driver and keeping your distance from the car in front of you, then you are not going to get on time where ever you’re going. I can guarantee you, someone will cut in, at least one car, probably more.

But if you’re driving and have your blinker on wanting to go over, forget it. No one is going to let you. You, like other WA drivers, will just have to force yourself in.

Anyway, I just thought I should mention that if you’re ever in WA and in Seattle area, expect some to cut in.

So we went for a short walk today. First we walked in the woods. There is this trail right behind the house. Then we came back and just walked around the neighbourhood. We came back and look who was walking in the front yard.

Of course I didn’t have a camera with me, so I ran back to the house, grabbed my camera and ran back to take a few shots. Enjoy!
